At 12:15pm the Blue Team of 10 Yonkers Public School students will share the river research they’ve conducted over their 6-week paid internship at CURB. Their research focuses on water quality in the Hudson and specifically tracking sewage pollution from Combined Sewer Overflows.

Throughout the afternoon a variety of free activities will be offered including seine-net fishing, kayaking courtesy of the Yonkers Paddling and Rowing Club, arts and crafts, river trivia, yard games, and free food and music!

The Blue Team

The CURB Blue Team consists of 10 dedicated Yonkers Public School Students who are researching fecal indicator bacteria in the Hudson River throughout a 6-week paid research internship in the summer. This community event is planned and organized by these students to share their research and educate the community on this environmental justice issue.
